Duncan Whitmire is a writer in South Portland, Maine, whose work has appeared in Quarterly West, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, The Rumpus, Colorado Review, and Hobart. He graduated from the Bennington Writing Seminars in 2024 with an MFA in Creative Writing—Fiction. He’s currently working on a novel called “Every Last One of Us, Gone,” a magical realism story about climate change and Millennials’ struggle for agency in the world we’ve inherited.
